Two Entertaining Speeches and Two New Members

Can you believe it? New members Gary and Karen are officially Merrimack Motivators Toastmasters! Plus two dynamite speeches!

On Tuesday, in the middle of a thunderstorm, Karen and Gary were welcomed by club President Lauren and VP of Education John into the Merrimack Motivators Toastmasters club. - Welcome Aboard!

Not only this, but Anne's interesting talk about the Opiod crisis was timely, sobering, but engaging as we can do our part to help on this effort.

Gary broke the ice with his icebreaker "Russian Nesting Dolls." From his youth to where he is today, Gary's life, as he described it, was full of highs and lows. For a first speech, or any speech, it was well-done and we all look forward to hearing more from Gary (and Anne)!

Plus, Karen was the winner of the impromptu-speaking Table Topics portion of the meeting. Her memories of watching Scooby were very well articulated and genuine.

New guests are always welcome.

The world needs leaders. Leaders head families, coach teams, run businesses and mentor others. These leaders must not only accomplish, they must communicate.

By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every Toastmasters journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback—and accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership.Visit www.toastmasters.org for more information
