WEATHER UPDATE: Showers, Thunderstorms Possible in Merrimack

Don’t forget to pack an umbrella if you plan on venturing outside today. Weather forecasters are expecting showers and thunderstorms throughout most of the day.

Showers are likely, then possibly a thunderstorm after noon, some of which could produce heavy rain, according to the National Weather Service. Weather forecasters are calling for an 80 percent chance of rain. The high temperature is expected to be near 72 degrees.

The chance of showers will continue into Tuesday night, mainly before 10 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation, according to the NWS.

Patchy fog and a low temperature near 65 degrees are expected on Tuesday night.
