Wendy Thomas Announces “Merrimack Takeout Wednesdays”

Starting Wed., February 24th, Wendy Thomas + Other Merrimack Residents Commit to Ordering Takeout Every Wednesday from Local Restaurants

Merrimack, N.H. - Former State Representative Wendy Thomas announced today that she and her supporters are starting a weekly “Merrimack Takeout Wednesdays” to encourage other residents to order takeout food from their favorite Merrimack food establishments every Wednesday to support the town’s local businesses.

“While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our daily lives, we need to do everything we can to support the people and businesses of Merrimack while keeping our neighbors safe,” said Wendy Thomas. “This past year has been very hard on our local businesses and their employees. With Merrimack Takeout Wednesdays, the people of our town can come together to safely support the local restaurants we know and love - all while slowing the spread of COVID-19. I invite everyone to join me.”

In her first term as a State Representative, Wendy worked across the aisle to pass legislation that fought to give Merrimack businesses and employees the resources they need to thrive. As a small business owner herself, Wendy understands the strain COVID-19 has placed on entrepreneurs and is working to find new ways to bring Merrimack together to support them.
