Air Quality Warning Issued For Rockingham County
Breaking: NH DES issues alerts for Sunday and Monday.

CONCORD, NH — The state of New Hampshire has issued air quality notification alerts for both the interior and seacoast areas of Rockingham County. According to the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, the seacoast areas of New Hampshire – including Hampton, North Hampton, and Portsmouth – will have unhealthy air quality for sensitive groups on June 11, and June 12, 2017. Interior Rockingham County – including Exeter, Londonderry, Salem, and Windham – is also under an alert notification for both days.
Inland, the Air Quality Index is 104 today and 102 tomorrow; on the coast, it is 105 for today and 103 for tomorrow.
“Sensitive individuals should limit prolonged exertion. Sensitive individuals include children and older adults, anyone with lung disease such as asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis, and people who are active outdoors,” the alerts noted. “Even healthy individuals may experience mild health effects and should consider limiting strenuous or prolonged activities.”
