Bike Maintenance Clinic for Women Held Nov. 11
Yes You Can! ABCs workshop is co-sponsored by She Rides Seacoast and commuteSMARTseacoast.

She Rides Seacoast and commuteSMARTseacoast are co-sponsoring a workshop on basic bike maintenance for women to be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at the Colonial Bicycle Company, 775 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth.
A first of its kind event in the seacoast, this hands-on seminar will be taught by women and cover the basic ABC’s of bike maintenance (air, brakes and chain), according to a press statement. It will also provide information on what to bring when you ride and when to bring your bike to a bike shop for regular maintenance.
Jen Murphy, a bike commuter and enthusiast for anything biking, and Jessie Duppler, a national bike racer, will lead the clinic.

“Along with wearing a helmet and following the rules of the road, properly maintaining your bike is one of the key aspects of your safety as a cyclist,” commented Murphy. “Don’t leave your safety up to someone else. Learn the warning signs and some basic preventative maintenance to keep your bike rolling smoothly.”
She Rides Seacoast is an informal group of women bicyclists whose mission is to encourage and empower women to ride. CommuteSMARTseacoast is a program of COAST that promotes carpooling, taking transit, teleworking, bicycling and walking to work.
