Theft of $1K Projector Reported at Pease

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, Aug. 29 to Friday, Aug. 30.

Thursday:

  • At 7:54 a.m., police reported a sick raccoon on Lafayette Road.
  • At 9:12 a.m., police took two juveniles into protective custody at Beechstone Apartments for truancy.
  • At 1:15 p.m., police reported a theft on High Street after a female caller said someone stole her wallet from her purse.
  • At 1:57 p.m., police reported a theft on Corporate Drive after the caller said a mounted ceiling projected valued at $1,000 was stolen.
  • At 2:05 p.m., police reported that $4,000 in fraudulent charges were made on a company credit card on Borthwick Avenue.
  • At 5:28 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle theft on Brewster Street.
  • At 5:43 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Highliner Avenue after the caller said someone smashed a window on their motor vehicle.
Friday:
  • At 8:18 a.m., police reported the theft of a flower pot on Daniel Street overnight.
  • At 11:32 a.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road after the caller said $100 in cash was stolen from her motor vehicle.
  • At 4:30 p.m., police reported a theft on Woodbury Avenue after a female shoplifter was detained at a store.
  • At 8:56 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Gosling Road. Joel Matthew Anderson, 24, of 9 Central Ave. was wanted for two counts of simple assault, criminal trespass and possession of controlled narcotic drugs.
