Portsmouth Man Charged with Phone Harassment
The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log on Friday, Jan. 17:
Friday:
- At 11:19 a.m., police reported forgery on Borthwick Avenue after the caller said a check was cashed on Oct. 22, 2013.
- At 1:07 p.m., police arrested a Hampton man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on the Route 1 Bypass northbound and handed him to Hampton Police. Michael E. Clancy, 46, of 94 Kings Highway was arrested on a warrant.
- At 2:27 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man on Hanover Street following a domestic incident. Bryan Emerson, 28, of 342 Islington St., Apt. 2, was charged with telephone harassment, simple assault and criminal mischief (vandalism).
- At 3:23 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Lafayette Road after the caller a car belonging to one of her employees was damaged.
- At 3:49 p.m., police responded to a burglary on Peverly Hill Road.
- At 5 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on the Route 1 Bypass southbound. Samantha Michelle Sullivan, 23, of 102 Ledgewood Drive, Apt. 11 was wanted on a bench warrant.
