Driver Hits Pedestrian on Islington Street

The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, Nov. 7.

Thursday:

  • At 7:54 a.m., police reported a hit and run motor vehicle accident on Grafton Drive.
  • At 9:07 a.m., police reported that a pedestrian was struck by a car on Islington Street, but suffered minor injuries.
  • At 11:59 a.m., police investigated a complaint that a 5- to 6-year-old child was left unattended in a car on Greenleaf Avenue for more than 20 minutes, but police were unable to locate the vehicle in question.
  • At 3:48 p.m., police reported a bicycle theft on Peirce Island.
  • At 6:29 p.m., police reported a criminal trespass complaint on Rockland Street after the caller said some homeless people were hanging out inside a laundry mat.
