DWI Patrols In Portsmouth Area Lead To 5 Arrests

Five people were arrested after police conduct special patrols targeting impaired drivers in the Seacoast area, including Portsmouth, Exeter

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Five people were arrested after several law enforcement agencies combined forces in conducting saturated patrols targeting impaired drivers in the Seacoast area. The patrols, announced last week, were conducted Friday in Rockingham County. Agencies conducting the patrols included State Police Troop A and the local police departments of Portsmouth, Greenland, Newington and Rye.

As a result of Friday's patrols, the following people were arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated: Nicholus Thomas, 30, of Dover; Anastasia Wright, 23, of Newmarket; and Emily Einsidler-Moore, 37, of Rochester. In addition, Tiffany Taylor, 33, of Eliot, Maine, was charged with operating without a valid license and Benjamin Davis, 28, of Exeter, was charged with driving after revocation or suspension.

State Police say that a total of 138 vehicles were stopped as part of Friday's saturation patrols. In addition to the arrests, police issued 15 traffic-related citations for violations ranging from having an open container in a vehicle to operating a vehicle after suspension.

All five people arrested during Friday's patrols are scheduled to be arraigned at Portsmouth District Court. Arrests do not indicate guilt.
