PORTSMOUTH, NH — The following items were selected from the Portsmouth police log for May 21 to May 24. Arrests do not indicate guilt. The names of any minors have been omitted.
Tuesday, May 21:
9:07 a.m. — Shawn M. Day, 50, of Portsmouth, is charged with theft from a building and breach of bail conditions.

9:39 a.m. — A man who is stumbling on the roadway is reported near Gosling Road and Woodbury Avenue.
10:37 a.m. — A vehicle accident with no injury is reported on Islington Street. The drivers exchange information.

11:16 a.m. — A backpack full of needles is reportedly found at a Gosling Road.
11:18 a.m. — Police give a verbal warning and a no-trespass notice to a panhandler.
11:44 a.m. — A tree falls onto a moving vehicle on Ocean Road. The driver is transported to the hospital, the vehicle is towed, and NH Department of Transportation is called to remove the tree.
12:08 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident with property damage but no injury is reported near the intersection of Greenland Road and Borthwick Avenue.
2:36 p.m. — Police give a verbal warning during a domestic incident.
3:15 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident with no injury is reported on Lincoln Avenue.
3:32 p.m. — Someone strikes a parked car on Arthur Brady Drive and drives away, but a witness leaves a note on the vehicle that was struck.
4:36 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident is reported on Lafayette Road. No injuries.
6:28 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident is reported at the intersection of Peverly Hill and West roads. No injuries.
6:33 p.m. — On Middle Street, someone reports a man with a no-trespass notice being on the property. The man is gone when police arrive.
8:58 p.m. — Drivers exchange information after a minor accident at the intersection of Grafton Drive and Route 33. Police notify Department of Transportation about lights at the intersection not working properly.
11:52 p.m. — A found iPhone is brought to the police station.
Wednesday, May 22:
12:07 a.m. — Police respond to a report of a teen being suicidal. Police find him surrounded by family and he is fine.
7:04 a.m. — A vehicle strikes a parked car on Holiday Drive.
8:08 a.m. — A white box truck is parked in front of Bank of America, blocking six parking spots.
8:26 a.m. — Portsmouth police assist another police agency with an accident on the High Level Bridge. The State Police handle the incident.
8:48 a.m. — A vehicle that was reported stolen is found in Acton, Maine.
9:05 a.m. — Drivers exchange information after a minor two-vehicle accident on Woodbury Avenue.
9:13 a.m. — A coyote reportedly runs across the Mill Pond near the apple trees and toward the playground. It is gone by the time police arrive.
10 a.m. — A passerby reports a woman sitting on the bridge and looking out of place. Police give her a courtesy ride to the hospital.
11:15 a.m. — A male is taken to the hospital with a possible overdose.
11:55 a.m. — A hit-and-run accident is reported on Congress Street. A witness reports the incident to police.
12:15 p.m. — A possible shoplifter is reported on Durgin Lane.
12:54 p.m. — Two vehicles are towed after an accident on Grafton Drive.
1:46 p.m. — Phyllis M. Willett, 67, of Seabrook, is arrested on a bench warrant.
2:35 p.m. — Police take a report of stolen property.
3:24 p.m. — Someone leaves their purse at Paul Mitchell, police attempt to return the property.
4:10 p.m. — State Police ask Portsmouth police to check on a man wearing a motorcycle helmet walking on the High Level Bridge on Interstate 95. Police do not find anyone matching that description.
4:46 p.m. — A woman asks police to standby during an exchange of a child between parents.
5:38 p.m. — A vehicle accident with property damage and no injury is reported at the intersection of Cate and Cottage streets.
9:01 p.m. — A van reportedly strikes a vehicle and drives off.
10:07 p.m. — Police check on a report of a suicide threat.
10:12 p.m. — On Penhallow Street, police attempt to help a woman who is upset. She is eventually able to find her purse, and police give her and another woman a ride to a hotel.
11:08 p.m. — A man calls 911 saying he is going to be beat up. Police determine he had been drinking, and he was no longer welcome at a party. Police give him a ride home to Dover.
Thursday, May 23:
12:02 a.m. — Police respond to a domestic incident on Lafayette Road.
1:05 a.m. — Police assist a tractor trailer that needs to turn around at an intersection at Route 1 Bypass northbound.
4:05 a.m. — Possible theft from vehicles is reported on Grafton Drive.
10:04 a.m. — A Lafayette Road bank reports fraud.
11:26 a.m. — Police assist the Fire Department during a structure fire on Woodbury Avenue. Exit 6 and the bypass on Woodbury Avenue is blocked off. New Hampshire Department of Transportation and Unitil are called to the scene.
11:59 a.m. — Two bicycles are reported missing on Woodbury Avenue.
12:11 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident is reported at the intersection of Peverly Hill and Mirona roads. No injuries.
12:37 p.m. — Police issue a verbal warning for two barking dogs on Cottage Street.
12:48 p.m. — An altercation is reported on Junkins Avenue.
12:55 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident is reported at the intersection of Woodbury Avenue and Durgin Lane. No injuries.
1:23 p.m. — On Hillside Drive, a dispute over property lines occurs between a fencing crew and a neighbor.
3:05 p.m. — A man reports that a rock was blown up from his vehicle and broke his windshield.
3:39 p.m. — On Gosling Road, an officer is flagged down regarding a guest that was refusing to leave. The man ended up taking his refund and leaving after the officer arrived.
4:24 p.m. — Dustin J. Welker, 29, of Barrington, is charged with driving after revocation or suspension and suspended registration.
7:56 p.m. — Brandon T. Groves, 25, of Merrimack, is arrested on a warrant.
8:21 p.m. — Carter Dewayne Kimbrough, 45, of Portsmouth, is charged with three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault.
8:29 p.m. — Police assist with a vehicle accident involving a Portsmouth fire engine.
9:29 p.m. — A woman reportedly starts to be threatening after requesting a refund from Domino's. When police locate the woman, no one admits to ordering a pizza.
Friday, May 24:
12:10 a.m.— A man on Hanover Street is reportedly starting fights. He is gone when police arrive.
1:01 a.m.—Kids launching fireworks are reported near Gosport Road. Police identify the group responsible, but no fireworks were found in their possession. Police inform their mother about the incident.
9:17 a.m. — Theft from several unlocked cars on Orchard Street is reported. Change, small items and a backpack are missing.
9:46 a.m. — A man reports that someone went through his son's unlocked car the previous night on Orchard Street and stole a hat, some loose change and an Essex County sheriff shirt.
10:06 a.m. — A black iPhone is reported stolen from a caller's car on South Street.
11:17 a.m. — A caller reports seeing several kids running away from a house the previous night after an "explosion" sound. This morning, the neighbor's mailbox is blown up. Police cannot reach the homeowner.
11:39 a.m. — Police attempt to "ping" the location of a man who is on the phone and suicidal. Dispatchers at 911 believe he is in Manchester, and Manchester police are notified.
12:22 p.m. — Powerball tickets and a leather purse with change in it are reported stolen from an unlocked Orchard Street vehicle the previous night.
3:19 p.m. — A vehicle's mirror strikes a truck on Lafayette Road, no damage is reported to the truck.
5:21 p.m. — On Union Street, two wallets and a bluetooth headset are reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the driveway.
11:25 p.m. — An intoxicated man and his friend are reported on Portwalk Place. Police speak with their Uber driver after a caller wants police to check up on them.
