Local Man Charged with Child Endangerment
The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, Sept. 22 to Monday, Sept. 23.
Sunday:
- At 8:17 a.m., police arrested a Rye man for drunken driving on Grafton Drive and Route 33. Erik E. Jackson, 40, of 611 Central Road was charged with driving while intoxicated.
- At 9:18 a.m., police reported criminal trespass at the High Hanover Parking Garage after the garage attendant said two homeless people were sleeping in sleeping bags in a parking space on the third level.
- At 3:59 p.m., police reported a theft at Bull Moose Music on Congress Street.
- At 7:23 p.m., police arrested a Greenland man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he was detained by Greenland Police. Michael Brent Sargent, 30, of 11 McShane Ave. was wanted for three counts of endangering the welfare of a child/incompetent and for default or breach of bail conditions.
- At 1:45 a.m., police reported a criminal trespass on Madison Street after the caller said a homeless man was sleeping inside the building on the first floor.
- At 8:37 a.m., police reported a theft of wiring inside a building on Islington Street.
- At 1:03 p.m., police arrested a Dover woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after she was detained by Rochester Police. Karla Erin Deschytner, 22, of 12 Country Club Estates in Dover was wanted for theft; all other.
- At 6:17 p.m., police assisted State Police and the Portsmouth Fire Department with a two-car accident with injury that occurred on the Route One Bypass northbound and the Portsmouth Traffic Circle.
- Also at 6:17 p.m., police responded to another two-car accident without injury on Maplewood Avenue and Cutts Street.
- At 6:24 p.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road the followed a car break in. It was not clear what items, if any, were taken.
