Joe Biden Speaks To Young Democrats In Portsmouth

Joe Biden appealed to young voters in Portsmouth during the New Hampshire Young Democrats' annual dinner fundraiser.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Former Vice President Joe Biden was in the Seacoast area Friday, appealing to voters in Portsmouth and Dover. Biden, a Democratic 2020 candidate for president, was the keynote speaker at the New Hampshire Young Democrats' annual fundraiser dinner. He said the upcoming presidential election is the most consequential one, urging voters to not re-elect President Donald Trump.

"It's the most consequential election anyone has faced, whether a young Democrat in college or over the age of 60," he said. "We will overcome four years of Donald Trump. We will go down as aberration in American history. It will take a whole lot of work to put together a foreign policy that makes sense. It will take a whole lot of work to re-establish who we are as a country. But eight years, literally, not figuratively, eight years of Donald Trump, will change the nation of who we are as a country."

The Young Democrats' annual dinner was held at Cisco Brewers in Portsmouth. Earlier that day, Biden visited downtown Portsmouth and also made a stop at Castaway's restaurant in Dover.
