Local Vietnam Vet Wins 5th Annual U.S. Army Veteran Raffle

Kittery, Maine resident and US Army Veteran Nelson Linscott recently won an all-inclusive vacation on Star Island.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - Kittery, Maine resident and US Army Veteran Nelson Linscott recently won an all-inclusive vacation on Star Island for a week this summer.

Linscott, a Kittery, Maine resident, grew up in Kittery and has lived on the Seacoast for many years, but never had the opportunity to visit the Isles of Shoals.

“As an avid photographer, this trip is a dream come true and a wonderful surprise. The Veteran’s Raffle is a great program to honor the men and women who have served their country in the military. Since I live on a very limited budget being disabled, I never thought I would be able to spend an afternoon, never mind seven days and nights on the island,” Linscott said.
