Man Arrested After 3 Hours Of Negotiations In Portsmouth

Police used the tactical SERT team to arrest 46-year-old Isaac Brake in Portsmouth after he refused to leave a home, police say.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Police used the Seacoast Emergency Response Team on Wednesday to arrest a man on a criminal trespass charge. Police say that Isaac Brake, 46, refused to leave a home on Kearsarge Way, and that based on his past history with police, the SERT team was called. Brake surrendered after three hours of negotiations, according to the Portsmouth police.

Brake is charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Both charges are misdemeanors. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear at Portsmouth District Court on Sept. 9.
