Up to $500 Stolen from Charity Box

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Tuesday:
- At 10:55 a.m., police reported disorderly conduct in Market Square when the COAST bus company reported a customer who was being abusive and difficult.
- At 12:29 p.m., police reported theft on Middle Road after the caller said she was collecting money for a charity that was placed in a metal box. She said that as much as $200 to $500 was stolen from the box.
- At 12:36 p.m., police reported fraud on Thaxter Road after the caller claimed they were a victim of identity theft.
- At 12:57 p.m., police reported a two-car accident without injury that happened on Woodbury Avenue and Market Street.
- At 1:18 p.m., police reported a theft of a cell phone at Portsmouth Regional High School on Andrew Jarvis Drive.
- At 2:34 p.m., police arrested a Manchester man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Woodbury Avenue. Thomas T. Kion, 35, of 334 Rimmon St. was wanted for criminal trespass and tampering with a witness and informant.
- At 5:20 p.m., police reported a theft on Market Street after a store employee said a female subject stole a shirt and fled the store.
- At 5:59 p.m., police reported liquor offenses on Middle Street after the caller said there were four homeless people drinking alcohol in public.
- At 8:35 p.m., police reported the theft of some change from a vehicle on Miller Avenue.
