Market Square Day Booth Application, Race Registration Are Open

PORTSMOUTH, NH — The Market Square Day Festival and 10K Road Race events will be held in-person in 2021 and registration is up and running now.

The events, put together by Pro Portsmouth, will be held on Sept. 18.

Barbara Massar, the executive director of the org, said Wentworth-Douglass Hospital/Portsmouth Outpatient Center will be this year’s presenting sponsor. The org has also received a grant from the NH State Council on the Arts.

“Words cannot express how grateful we are for Wentworth-Douglass’ support,” she said. “The return of Primmer, Piper, Eggleston & Cramer as our road race co-title sponsor, along with new co-title, Atlantic Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, goes a long way in making these events a reality. Thanks to the grant, we’ll be presenting great local talent at both Summer in the Street and Market Square Day.”

The road race this year is part of the Seacoast Road Race and will be a mix of in-person and virtual, she said. Participation registration is now open at this link here.

Booths are also available for the event. Any org or business that signed up in 2020 will be honored for this year. Applicants can visit this link here for more information.
