NH Students' Racist 'Jingle Bells' Hits Sour Note
"An incident of extreme racial insensitivity" is being looked into after an assignment resulted in kids singing "Let's kill all the blacks."

DOVER, NH — A high school is investigating after a class assignment resulted in students singing a 'Jingle Bells' tune with lyrics about the KKK that included "Let's kill all the blacks."
The song was caught on tape during a presentation in a Dover High School 11th-grade history class. Superintendent William Harbron called it "an incident of extreme racial insensitivity" in a letter sent to parents and posted on Facebook.
"We are deeply concerned that an event such as this could occur and understand the emotion and concern this event will create for our students, families and staff," the letter read.

Harbron told seacoastonline.com the song was the result of an assignment where students were to pick a Reconstruction-era event and make a song of it. The students chose to marry 'Jingle Bells' and the KKK in a song that also included the lyrics, "White masks on our heads, blood beneath our feet, laughing till they’re dead -- ha, ha, ha."
Seacoastonline reported students could be heard laughing during the song.
