LaCasse: Orwell's 2020
How George Orwell would write about the events of 2020 (if this election goes South)
Before my re-education, I mistakenly thought I remembered how it all went down 40 years ago before the 2020 elections: Hilary Clinton and the DNC had employed an Ex British spy, turned US intelligence asset, named Christopher Steel, who used Russian intelligence disinformation to produce a phony dossier, which senior Obama-Biden FBI counter intelligence operatives knew to be false but illegally used to justify a FISA warrant to spy on a rival campaign, and subsequently used to undermine a duly elected president for two years, all after Hillary Clinton had said that she would accept the results of the election. After lengthy investigations not an ounce of evidence was found to support the Russian collusion claim (apart from the inconvenient truth as to where the phony dossier came from) despite two years of David Muir's nightly headline reports of some new revelation or anonymously sourced accusation.
In the year prior to the 2020 elections, the same President Trump was impeached based on selective and orchestrated leaks, by partisan operatives within our Justice, Defense, Intelligence, and State Departments, over a phone call he made to the newly elected Ukrainian President, where our President asked him to look into a matter involving said former administration VP, and rival, who literally had made a real quid pro quo to hold up over a billion dollars in U.S. aid if the Ukraine did not fire the prosecutor who was investigating an oligarch’s energy company, on whose board Hunter Biden, the VP’s son, sat, and earned over a million dollars.
Shortly before the election, much of the media and even the debate commission interfered directly in our elections changing last minute the format of the second debate without notice while the moderator of said debate subsequently was caught lying about his contacts with a staunch opponent of then President Trump; Worse, omnipotent digital media outlets did their best, only days later, to censor the bombshell revelations reported by the New York Post which would prove, if accurate, that Vice President Joe Biden not only knew of Hunter Biden’s business dealings in the Ukraine but had met with a top executive of Burisma long before his Quid Pro Quo concerning US aid which would directly benefit his son. Biden’s campaign did not deny it outright, but rather offered only coy statements about there not being a meeting on his “official” calendar.

Early in that same campaign season Joe Biden publicly had declared that China was not an “economic threat” to the United States, while his son sat on the board of directors of a Chinese state owned company, which he had set up while accompanying his father on an official visit to China in 2013, one of two countries to which President Obama had made Biden point man (the other country being Ukraine). While many in our media stressed that the millions that the unqualified Hunter had made from the Chinese state run company was not illegal, NBC’s Savannah Guthrie, in her 20 minute one-on-one “town hall” with President Trump, grilled the president on his company’s underleveraged 400 million dollar debt (which was illegally exposed, not to mention inconsequential relative to the President’s holdings), implying that we should all be worried about some grave, nebulous, national security concern. Meanwhile, on a rival town hall over at ABC, not a word was mentioned, nor question asked, about the bombshell revelations reported in the New York Post. Most of the media followed suit, refusing to even ask questions about a scandal clearly larger than Watergate in every way.
It was not hard to understand that Republican policy opponents would take comfort in help from wherever they could get it, so blinded by what their adoption of Ingsoc and Newspeak would portend. Now, after 40 years of glorious one-party rule, a new constitution, no filibuster, a few new states, and with my re-education training by Fox News complete (Big Brother lovingly bought them out soon after those 2020 elections), I now know those recollections are untrue. It is all right now. I have won victory over myself. I love Big Brother (Orwell, 1984, last page).
