Police Respond to Underage Drinking Party at Hotel
The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Correction: An earlier version of the Portsmouth Police log that was posted on Portsmouth Patch incorrectly identified the hotel where an underage drinking party took place.
The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, Jan. 16.
Thursday:
- At 1:03 a.m., police reported a simple assault on Daniel Street where the caller said someone punched her friend.
- At 2:09 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man following a domestic incident on Winsor Road. Brandon Tobin, 21, of 10 Winsor Road was charged with criminal mischief (vandalism) and two counts of simple assault.
- At 1:49 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident on Merrimac Street.
- At 3:18 p.m., police reported a theft on Congress Street that resulted in a shoplifter in custody.
- At 3:53 p.m., police reported disorderly conduct on Lafayette Road after a male and a female subject were observed yelling at one another.
- At 4:14 p.m., police reported a two-car accident on Lang Road and Lafayette Road without injury.
- At 4:56 p.m., police reported theft on Islington Street after the caller said some checks were stolen from a business and then cashed.
- At 5:52 p.m., police arrested a 13-year-old juvenile on Middle Road for criminal threatening (intimidation) after the caller said he punched some staff members.
- At 6:01 p.m., police arrested a 16-year-old juvenile on Middle Road for criminal threatening (intimidation) and resisting arrest or detention. Police subsequently arrested another 16-year-old for criminal threatening (intimidation) and resisting arrest or detention and arrested a 13-year-old juvenile at the scene for criminal mischief.
- At 11:24 p.m., police took a 17-year-old teen into protective custody after they received a noise complaint from the front desk of a Gosling Road hotel and discovered an underage drinking party.
