Police: Christmas Presents Stolen from Unlocked Car
The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log on Sunday, Dec. 22.
Sunday:
- At 7:56 a.m., police reported a single car versus a pole accident on Lafayette Road.
- At 10:01 a.m., police reported a theft of $50 worth of Christmas gifts from the caller's unlocked vehicle.
- At 12:27 p.m., police reported a two-car accident on Greenland Road and Borthwick Avenue without injury.
- At 4:18 p.m., police reported a theft of $40 of cash with a suspect on Lafayette Road.
- At 9:15 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man following a domestic incident on Colonial Drive. Stephen J. Arnold Sr., 49, of 114 Colonial Drive was charged with simple assault.
