Police Catch Fugitive Downtown
The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, Oct. 31 and Friday, Nov. 1.
Thursday:
- At 7:11 a.m., police reported a missing person on Ledgewood Drive. The caller said he was worried about his mother's well being due to a domestic situation involving an ex-boyfriend. Police reported that she was located at work a short time later.
- At 1:07 p.m., police received a fraud complaint at the police station regarding a case of elderly exploitation.
- At 4:16 p.m. and at 5:38 p.m., police reported two separate two-car accidents on Grafton Drive and Lafayette Road that didn't have any injuries.
- At 10:13 p.m., police received a report of a theft on Borthwick Avenue.
- At 1 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Fleet and Hanover streets after a broken car window was discovered.
- At 7:23 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Court Street after the caller said someone broke a car window.
- At 12:33 p.m., police received a fraud complaint on Springbrook Circle concerning a college loan application.
- At 12:45 p.m., police issued two citations to two men who were drinking alcohol at Vaughn Mall in violation of the city ordinance.
- At 4:55 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Bow Street. Desmond Scott Earle, 48, of 600 Lafayette Road, was wanted for obstruction of government administration and disorderly conduct.
- At 6:11 p.m., police reported a two-car accident on Lafayette Road with unknown injuries.
