Police: Man Hits Toll Booth Accused Of DWI And Reckless Operation
Massachusetts man is accused of reckless operation and second-offense driving while intoxicated
DOVER, NH - On Thursday, August 6th, 2020, at approximately 1:01 pm, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop A Barracks responded to the Dover Toll Plaza, located on Route 16, in Dover, for a report of a vehicle that crashed into the Toll Plaza.
Upon arrival, the Troopers located a blue 2003 Chevrolet Silverado with Massachusetts registrations, which collided with concrete barrier at the Dover Tolls, in the northbound lanes of travel.

Age 67
Hopkinton, MA
Preliminary investigation revealed that Scott Jr. was travelling north on Route 16 when he collided with the concrete barrier at the Toll Plaza. No Toll Plaza employees were injured as a result of the collision and traffic was affected by lane closures, however, the roadway remained open to traffic during the collision investigation.

Scott Jr. was transported to the Portsmouth Regional Hospital – Dover Emergency Room for further medical evaluation and treatment. He was later arrested at the hospital and charged with Driving Under the Influence (2nd Offense) and Reckless Operation.
Scott Jr. was released on Personal Recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear at the 7th Circuit - Dover District Court on 09/01/2020 at 0815 hours.
New Hampshire State Police Troopers were assisted on scene by the New Hampshire State Police – Mobile Enforcement Team, the Dover Fire Department, the Newington Fire Department, the Dover Police Department, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation and Superior Towing.
