Police Seize 150 Grams Of Heroin/Fentanyl In Greenland
State Police seized 150 grams of suspected heroin or fentanyl during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in Greenland.
GREENLAND, NH — State Police seized approximately 150 grams of suspected heroin or fentanyl during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in Greenland. Boston resident Anthony Govan, 26, was arrested in the incident Tuesday afternoon. Police say they searched the vehicle after getting permission, also seizing a small amount of marijuana and prescription medication.
According to the State Police, a trooper stopped a Subaru Legacy around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday after seeing it travel aggressively on Interstate 95 in Greenland. During the traffic stop, the trooper became suspicious about the intentions of those in the vehicle. State Police say the trooper asked for permission to search the vehicle on the side of the road, and the permission was granted, resulting in the seizure of approximately 150 grams of what police suspect to be heroin or fentanyl, in addition to marijuana and prescription drugs.
State Police have not indicated whether Govan was the driver or a passenger in the vehicle, or what his exact charges are.
