Portsmouth Halloween Parade Wednesday; Road Closure List
The Portsmouth Halloween Parade is Wednesday, October 31, at 7 p.m.

PORTSMOUTH, NH -- The stage is set for Portsmouth's 24th annual Halloween Parade. The community-sponsored event is Wednesday, October 31, at 7 p.m. The parade will have a new route this year -- it will travel through Daniel Street into Market Square. The parade has traditionally gone through Bow Street.
"This new route allows better and faster access to first responders should ... the need arise," the parade's organizers wrote. "We are still the same grassroots, all-inclusive celebration of community, creativity, and free expression that walks, stalks, dances, trumpets, and drums its way through downtown Portsmouth each year."
This year's parade route starts on Marcy Street, continues to Dutton Avenue and then goes through Daniel Street, Market Square, Congress Street, Fleet Street and State Street before ending in Prescott Park.
