Portsmouth Man Arrested After 'Granite Shield' Drug Operation

After a multi-agency Granite Shield Operation by local police, Portsmouth man Ryan Reed was arrested on a narcotics sales charge.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A Portsmouth man has been charged with selling narcotics after police from three agencies conducted a Granite Shield operation Wednesday. Ryan Reed, 40, of Portsmouth, was arrested after an investigation by the Portsmouth Police High Intensity Drug Interdiction Team along with officers from Seabrook and Greenland police. Granite Shield is a state-funded program targeting distribution of opiates in the region.

After Wednesday's arrest, Reed was released on personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County Superior Court for arraignment July 12.
