Portsmouth Man Charged With Aggravated Sexual Assault

Jonathan Roberts of Portsmouth is charged with sexually assaulting a woman he met on an online dating site, according to police.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A city man has been charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault after meeting a woman through an online dating site, according to police. Jonathan Roberts, 63, of Portsmouth, was arrested Friday. According to the Portsmouth police, Roberts sexually assaulted a woman on Aug. 11 after meeting her through the site.

The assault occurred at Roberts' home, according to police. After Friday's arrest he was released on a $5,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear for arraignment at Rockingham County Superior Court on June 28.
