PORTSMOUTH, NH - Rye Police this week announced the identity of a Portsmouth man killed in a roll over crash over the weekend. According to the Union Leader, Portsmouth resident, Brett Pankonin, was behind the wheel of a Jeep Cherokee when it rolled over on its roof into Berry Brook in Rye in the early hours of Saturday.
Investigators were still trying to determine what led to the crash and when it happened, police Chief Kevin Walsh said Sunday.
“Currently we’re doing an investigation where we’re talking to people who had last seen him, so that’s how we’re going to try to piece the timeline together,” Walsh said. “We have had some people that have been good enough to call and we’re doing interviews with them now.”
