Portsmouth Officers Hand Out Halloween Bags
The bags also offer safety tips to kids and parents.
PORTSMOUTH, NH — Over the past couple of weeks, Portsmouth Police Officers “Trick or Treated” through neighborhoods by handing out free Halloween bags to residents. They also donated a portion of the Halloween bags to Cross Roads House, Portsmouth Housing Authority, and the Portsmouth Elementary Schools to be made available for families in need, according to a press statement.
The bags are bright yellow, with orange Jack-O-Lanterns. They have “Happy Halloween,” and “Portsmouth Police Department” written on them along with the badge logo.
The bags also display the following safety tips:

- Don’t Go Out Alone!
- Stay in Well-Lighted Areas!
- Watch for Cars!
- Have your Parents Check your Treats!
This is another community policing effort by the Portsmouth Police Department, and a way for officers to have both proactive, and positive interaction with the community. It is also a fun way to remind both children, and adults to be safe during Halloween.
