Portsmouth Police Department: Motor Vehicle Fatality: Victim Identified

Following the fatal accident that occurred at 2:14pm on April 27, 2021, at the intersection of Greenland Road and Griffin Road, the Portsmouth Police Department is identifying the operator of the motorcycle  Due to the case being an ongoing investigation, the name of the truck driver will not be released at this time. The preliminary investigation suggests criminal charges are not forthcoming. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation; however, the preliminary investigation suggests that speed is a primary contributing factor. The Portsmouth Police Patrol Division and Investigative Division are continuing to investigate this case and anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Officer Peter Connor at (603)610-7629.
