A black bear behind a house, a vehicle striking a cat, and vandalism were among items in the Portsmouth police log for June 24 to June 27.
PORTSMOUTH, NH — The following items were selected from the Portsmouth police log for the time period of Monday, June 24 to Thursday, June 27. Arrests do not indicate guilt. The names of any minors have been omitted.
Monday, June 24
7:47 a.m. — A black bear is reported behind a home on Ocean Road. Fish and Game responds.

10:36 a.m. — A vehicle reportedly strikes a house cat on Islington Street near Cabot Street. The cat is still alive.
11:53 a.m. — Vandalism on the African burial ground is reported.

12:08 p.m. — Police warn a man for trespassing after he reportedly disrupts a Market Street business.
2:38 p.m. — A vehicle strikes a utility pole on Maplewood Avenue. Police issue a summons for violating the hands-free law. EMS is called.
3:27 p.m. — A three-vehicle accident is reported in the area of the Route 1 Bypass and Borthwick Avenue. State Police are on scene. The road is closed for some time. No injuries.
3:54 p.m. — A caller reports she is driving behind a truck that is smoking and leaking fluid on Lafayette Road.
4:17 p.m. — Six kids 12 to 14 years old are reportedly skateboarding in a parking lot on Sagamore Avenue.
4:29 p.m. — A history of harassment and suspicious online comments are reported.
9:30 p.m. — Someone illegally dumps trash into a Lafayette Road dumpster.
10:43 p.m. — Kiley Cecile Dulac, 22, of Barrington, is arrested on a warrant.
11:03 p.m. — A woman reports she was possibly choked or put in a headlock by another woman at the homeless shelter. The victim is transported to the hospital.
11:24 p.m. — An unconscious woman is found in a parking lot on Route 1 Bypass South. She is transported to the hospital.
Tuesday, June 25
10:03 a.m. — A two-vehicle accident is reported on Lafayette Road near Greenleaf Woods Drive. No injuries.
11:14 a.m. — Vandalism is reported on Woodbury Avenue.
11:33 a.m. — A fight between drivers reportedly ensues after a pickup truck backs into a box truck on Congress Street.
11:37 a.m. — A caller reports an accident involving a trash truck and another vehicle in the area of Pleasant and Whidden streets.
11:52 a.m. — Loud music is reported on Market Street.
3:35 p.m. — A woman reportedly has a leg injury after a two-vehicle accident at the Portsmouth traffic circle. She has a minor cut on her leg. State Police are on scene.
4:34 p.m. — A caller reports someone has opened accounts in his name via fraud.
Wednesday, June 26
12:04 a.m. — Portsmouth police assist Newington police in searching for a vehicle on Woodbury Avenue. Newington police arrest a person for suspended vehicle registration and find several firearms.
2:42 a.m. — Vandalism is reported on Junkins Avenue.
7:54 a.m. — A woman suffers from neck pain after a two-vehicle accident at the Portsmouth traffic circle. 911 is called, State Police are on their way.
8:23 a.m. — Ryan A. Reed, 40, of Portsmouth, is charged with sale of a controlled drug and violating a requirement to have flaps, guards or fenders.
10:14 a.m. — A bat in a house is reported on Madison Street.
10:37 a.m. — Rye police receive a call about a large turtle crossing the street in the Lafayette Road area.
4:13 p.m. — A Bluetooth speaker and some quarters are reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Washington Street the previous evening.
10:09 p.m. — Freddy Flores, 46, of Portsmouth, is charged with criminal mischief.
Thursday, June 27
2:23 p.m. — Kaela A. Charette, 36, of Hampton, is charged with operating without a valid license.
2:57 p.m. — On Sagamore Avenue, kids reportedly look like they plan to jump off a bridge during a low tide.
4:37 p.m. — A vehicle strikes a traffic sign in the median of a road on Woodbury Avenue. Public works is notified.
5:40 p.m. — A caller complains about kids skateboarding on Islington Street.
5:46 p.m. — A keyed car is reported as part of a domestic incident.
6:32 p.m. — David Rosario, 36, of Portsmouth, is arrested on a bench warrant from Rockingham County Superior Court.
10:41 p.m. — Police give a woman a courtesy ride to Cumberland Farms in Newington.
11:09 p.m. — Jeffrey P. Kirouac, 19, of Portsmouth, is charged with drug possession.
11:14 p.m. — Four men yelling in a ball field are reported on Woodbury Avenue.
11:31 p.m. — On Woodbury Avenue, a highly intoxicated man is bleeding from the nose and three people are trying to help him.
