Portsmouth Police Log, June 5-June 9: Vehicle, Foot Pursuits
Police pursuits via vehicle and on foot were among incidents reported in the Portsmouth police log for June 5 to June 9.
PORTSMOUTH, NH — The following incidents were reported in the most recent Portsmouth police log. Arrests do not indicate guilt. The names of any minors have been omitted.
Wednesday, June 5
9:32 a.m. — Injuries result after an accident involving a truck and a cyclist in the area of Heritage Avenue and Lafayette Road. The Fire Department is on scene.
9:58 a.m. — Nathan E. Merchant, 38, of Rochester, is charged with criminal threatening.

4:36 p.m. — Timothy J. Sheehan, 53, of Rochester, is charged with resisting arrest, breach of bail, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal threatening, domestic violence simple assault and criminal mischief. He was arrested in Dover on a Portsmouth arrest warrant.
Thursday, June 6
12:34 a.m. — Police dogs assist State Police with recovering evidence on Interstate 95 after a vehicle pursuit. Drugs that were thrown out the window were recovered.

Police logs were the remainder of June 6 and for June 7 were not immediately available.
Saturday, June 8
11:49 a.m. — A musician reports being harassed by a man at Vaughan Mall. Police tell that man to move along.
12:30 p.m. — A vehicle is rear-ended ton Lafayette Road. No injuries.
2:24 p.m. — The Fire Department takes a report of a man urinating in public. Police are unable to locate him.
1:18 p.m. — On Grant Avenue, someone reports two suspicious men who say they are conducting a survey and are acting weird.
2:34 p.m. — Another report of two men conducting a survey is reported on Taft Road. Police are unable to locate them.
2:37 p.m. — A wallet is reported lost on Pleasant Street.
2:55 p.m. — An officer removes a "little green man" out of the roadway.
4:21 p.m. — An officer is flagged down after a tractor trailer takes down a fence in the area of Marcy and Hancock streets.
8 p.m. — Lisa A. Diburro, 49, of Atkinson, is charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
9:35 p.m. — Melissa J. Carr, 49, of Portsmouth, is charged with criminal mischief.
Sunday, June 9
12:52 a.m. — A disorderly male is reported on Marcy Street.
12:56 a.m. — On Daniel Street, police dissipate a large crowd coming out of a bar and encroaching on the street.
12:57 a.m. — An Uber driver asks police to help with an unwanted rider. It's a civil issue regarding the number of people allowed in the car.
2:15 a.m. — On Hanover Street, a man who is not feeling well falls asleep in his car. Police give him a courtesy ride to his friend's house.
3:39 a.m. — Two males are reportedly fighting on Lafayette Road. It is a verbal argument and they are separated.
7:46 a.m. — At the airport, a man brings in a turtle that had been injured in Newington, asking for some help. Fish and Game is called, but the man later decides to bring it back to the woods.
8:41 a.m. — On Woodbury Avenue, two drivers get into an argument and one man spits on another's vehicle.
10:24 a.m. — A two-vehicle accident is reported near the liquor store at the Portsmouth traffic circle. No injuries.
10:33 a.m. — A church reports seeing a man matching the description of a suspect who stole money from churches. Jason P. Balser, 31, of Amesbury, Massachusetts, is arrested on charges of theft, six counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, and three counts of receiving stolen property.
1:39 p.m. — A caller reports that a suspect wanted in a hit-and-run incident is now in the Burger King parking lot with a flat tire. The vehicle is towed. Jeremy A. Royer, 38, of Rochester, is arrested on two counts of driving while intoxicated, one count of aggravated driving while intoxicated and one count of driving after suspension.
3:33 p.m. — Three men reportedly ask for money loudly on Market Street. Police issue a verbal warning.
6:11 p.m. — On Borthwick Avenue, a woman is upset because she cannot see her daughter on her birthday.
6:29 p.m. — Two teens reportedly flip off a woman and swear at her after being told not to ride dirt bikes near the play ground.
11:28 p.m. — On Maplewood Avenue, a man runs into the cemetery. Police engage in a foot pursuit toward the salt piles. Alexander S. Lowe, 22, of Scarborough, Maine, is arrested on charges of loitering and two counts of resisting arrest, and is taken into protective custody for alcohol.
