Portsmouth Welfare Department Collecting School Supplies

The Portsmouth Welfare is holding a back-to-school drive, with particular need of sturdy backpacks for upperclassmen.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — With back-to-school time being a few short weeks away, the Portsmouth Welfare Department is collecting school supplies for local students. According to city officials, one particular need is sturdy backpacks for older kids. Markers, pencil sharpeners and dividers for three-ring binders are also in need, city officials stated.
