Architectural Digest has picked the Granite State's prettiest town. See homes for sale there.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Portsmouth is the New Hampshire's prettiest town, a highly regarded magazine has decided.
Architectural Digest magazine, in a new feature, has named the popular vacation destination as the prettiest in all of the Granite State.
"This historic seaport is home to many historical attractions, some dating back to the 1600s, and is a sought-after destination come summer," Architectural Digest said.

The Architectural Digest piece, which picks the prettiest town in every U.S. state, was published July 16. It's Massachusetts pick was Edgartown on Martha's Vineyard, and in Maine it gave Stonington the nod.
"Rich in architecture and layered with nature—whether it's canopies of trees, a beach that stretches for miles, or the glass-like surface on a lake or river—each U.S. state hosts more than one town that will take your breath away," the magazine said.
