Seacoast Women’s Giving Circle Announce 2018 Grant Recipients
The Seacoast Women's Giving Circle announced 2018 grant recipients at the GIVE Fundraiser Celebration Thursday in Portsmouth.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. - The Seacoast Women’s Giving Circle announced 2018 grant recipients at the GIVE Fundraiser Celebration Thursday in Portsmouth. According to Seacoast Online, the awards, which support the Seacoast environment totaled over $60,000 this year.
The 2018 awards included the following winners:
Conservation Law Foundation: CLF protects New England’s environment for the benefit of all people. SWGC’s grant will be used to advocate for reduced use of toxic pesticides and fertilizers in communities around the Great Bay-Piscataqua watershed and educate residents and municipal officials about natural and organic approaches to maintenance of lawns, parks, playing fields and streetscapes, all of which will lead to improved health of both citizens and the estuary.

Toxics Action Center: The center believes everyone has the right to clean air, clean water and healthy communities. It works with communities to prevent or clean up pollution in New England. SWGC’s gift will be used to provide information, community organizing assistance to the moms of Testing for Pease, scientific resources, training and networking to Seacoast communities affected by PFAS contamination.
Other winners included the New England Grassroots Environment Fund, the Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire and the White Pine Programs, which enrich and educate under-served children with life-changing nature connection programs.
