Chris Eskas' "The Retrieval" allows the audience to see the Civil War through the perspective of two slaves sent north to retrieve another slave.
It is a pretty tight film where the characters are forced to look at themselves and what they are doing within the context of the war.
It is also a really good coming of age story for the young teenage slave who witnesses the horrors of the war as he tries to survive.
