Two Seriously Injured In Dover 2-Alarm Morning Fire

45 Firefighters battle a 2-alarm fire in Dover that seriously injured two people

DOVER, NH - On August 12, 2020 at 8:23 am Dover Fire received a call for a structure fire at on Polly Ann Park. Fire crews arrived to a mobile home fully engulfed in fire, and one adult female outside with injuries.

Firefighters provided medical aid to the woman, and other crews attacked the fire threatening adjacent units. Crews discovered a second victim, an adult male who also required medical attention.

A second alarm was called due to the involvement of two adjacent buildings in addition to the original unit. High temperatures from the intense fire and morning temperatures in the 80’s were a challenge for the firefighters and additional personnel were required.

A total of 45 firefighters were at the scene of the fire. Dover Fire had 5 units on the scene, and 5 units from mutual aid towns. Additional mutual aid units provided coverage at Dover stations.

Once the fire was brought under control Dover Fire investigators, with the assistance of the NH State Fire Marshal’s Office and Dover Police. A K9 “Reeves” who specializes in accelerant detection was brought to the scene by NH Fire Marshal's Office.

The injuries to both people appeared serious, and at this time there are no updates on their status

The fire is under investigation at this time to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
