On Your Markers, Young Writers, Get Set for the NHPTV Writers Contest

Illustrated stories will be accepted until March 31, 2017.

DURHAM, NH — Poetic tales, animal tales, tall tales, family tales, funny tales, magic tales, nature tales – any kind of illustrated tale can be entered in the NHPTV Kids Writers Contest. This year marks the 23rd year for this popular writing and illustrating contest for children, presented by New Hampshire Public Television, according to a press statement.

Children in grades K – 5 are invited to submit their original illustrated stories to the NHPTV Kids Writers Contest. The contest encourages kids to explore the power of creativity by writing and illustrating their own stories, and it promotes reading skills through active learning.

Contest guidelines and writing resources are available at nhptv.org/kidswrite; the deadline to submit stories is March 31st.
