5 Things To Know In Salem This Week

Road paving, graduation and more are on the list of things to know in Salem this week.

SALEM, NH — Happy Monday! Below are the top five happenings in Salem for this week.

  1. Road closures and detours will be in effect at the Depot intersection starting Monday. The closures will be in effect 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers are asked to use caution and take these detours as road work goes forward.
  2. The Selectmen on Monday will discuss design plans for Mall Road and Rockingham Park Boulevard as part of Tuscan Village. The meeting starts at 8 p.m.
  3. Salem High School graduation is this Friday. Congratulations, Class of 2019graduates!
  4. Make sure to register for Salem Recreation Division's Adventure Camp, open to Salem residents 11 to 15 years old. The deadline to register is Monday, June 17. The camp features field trips including to Water Country, Hampton Beach, rock climbing, and a hike in the mountains.
  5. Salem Democratic Town Committee is hosting a coffee and conversation event this Friday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Farmhouse Roasters, located at 163 Main St. Everyone is welcome to discuss topics of their choice — anything from community events and legislation to family and concerts.
