Salem Police Ask For Assistance With Robbery Case
Market Basket on South Broadway was robbed on Wednesday by a man with a gray beard who was in his 40s or 50s, police said.

SALEM, NH — Police in Salem are asking for the public’s help attempting to identify a robbery suspect after an incident on Wednesday.
Around 9 p.m., police were sent to Market Basket on South Broadway for a report of a robbery. Police learned a white man, around 40 to 50 years of age, approached a store cashier, demanded money, and fled. The man had an average build and a gray beard. He stood about 5 feet, 9 inches, to around 6 feet tall.
Police said the suspect fled to the parking lot, got into a car, and drove away. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a baseball hat, black hooded sweatshirt, and shorts.
