Alzheimer Association to Host Free Trip to Salt Cave in Salem

The Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter will host an afternoon at the Salt Cave in Salem​ on Apr. 20

SALEM, NH - In a move to help individuals with Alzheimer's or another dementia stay active, the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter will host an afternoon at the Salt Cave in Salem.

The free trip is part of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Alz Meet Up program and is scheduled for Friday, Apr. 20. at the Salt Cave in Salem, NH. It is intended for individuals with mild memory loss and their care partners.

"We are excited to start offering engaging activities year round through this program," said Melody McLaughlin, Manager of Early Stage Engagement Programs at the Alzheimer's Association. "We want to create a stigma free environment for diagnosed individuals and their care partners that will also present an opportunity to form much needed bonds."

The event begins at 10:45 a.m. at the Salt Cove, 350 N Broadway, Salem. Attendees will enjoy a meet-up at New Hampshire’s first Salt Cave! Bien Soigné is the first to offer this sought-after European healing treatment to New Hampshire.

The Salt Cave is lined with 18 tons of Himalayan pink salt which provides for an all-natural, mineral-based therapy option to reduce stress as well as improve respiratory, skin and join ailments.
