Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem receives $50,000 from Lowe's

Grant for new Playground received by Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem from Lowe's

Representing, the state of New Hampshire, the organization is one of 51 Boys & Girls Clubs around the country to receive this grant to create safer spaces for kids and teens from the Greater Salem area.

Salem, NH, June 28, 2018 – Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem announced today they have received a $50,000 grant from Lowe’s to renovate the outdoor playground area. The grant is part of Renovation Across the Nation, a program between Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Lowe’s that provides one Club in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. with a grant and volunteer support from Lowe’s to complete much-needed improvements and renovations.

Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem was selected as the signature Club in the state of New Hampshire for 2018. As the need to update facilities increases and maintenance costs rise, Lowe’s support will help the Club make critical improvements to ensure the Club remains a safe and inviting place for Greater Salem’s youth who need it most.

“The Club is grateful for the opportunity which LOWES and BGCA have made possible. Improving our playground allows our members to engage with one another in a safe, supportive, fun environment most importantly. With the summer ahead, the kids are already extremely excited” stated by Marco Abreu, Chief Executive Officer of the Salem Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem.

The renovations will begin in June and the Club will be partnering with the Lowe’s store in Salem, NH to complete the renovation. The playground renovation is scheduled to be finished at some point in July.
