
The Andover Choral Society, welcomes singers from all towns who enjoy singing fine choral music in an upbeat, friendly atmosphere to open rehearsals that will be held on Mon., Sept 18th and Mon., Sept. 25th from 7:20 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Christ Church, 33 Central Street, Andover, MA.
The ACS is a community chorus whose aim is to bring great music to the Merrimack Valley. Under the direction of Michael Driscoll, the ACS perform two concerts a year, drawing on a repertoire that focuses on choral works from the Baroque era to the 21st century. Concerts feature professional orchestras and vocalists. High school juniors and seniors are also invited to sing with us through our Choral Scholars Program.
For this season, ACS will perform "A Voice from Heaven " a program that includes John Rutter's Requiem, Felix Mendelssohn's Grant us Thy Peace and Psalm 42, and Mack Wilburg's Peace Like a River on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, 3 p.m., in the North Andover High School auditorium. On Sunday, May 6, 2018, in partnership with the And0ver Historical Society, ACS will perform "Songs of World War I," to commemorate America's entrance into that war.
