Salem Fireworks July 4, 2017: Celebrate Fourth Of July Around NH
Make plans now for the July 4th holiday around the Granite State.

SALEM, NH — The Fourth of July 2017, is not far away and New Hampshire has a number of great events planned before, during, and after the 4th. Here is a list of events in both Patch communities and around New Hampshire.
In Amherst, fireworks will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017, at Souhegan High School. The town also hosts a parade beginning at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, beginning at the Wilkins School along Boston Post Road. The Amherst NH July 4th Committee has more information on its Facebook page.
In Concord, a fireworks display will be held at Memorial Field on South Fruit Street. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with fireworks at around 9:15 p.m. A rain date will be held on July 5. The Exeter Brass Band performs at the town bandstand at 7:30 p.m. on July 3. On July 15, the 2017 American Independence Festival will be held at the Independence Museum including a full schedule of events.
Hampton is also hosting 4th of July fireworks on July 4, over the Atlantic Ocean at 9:30 p.m. Fireworks will be presented every Wednesday night during the summer, too. If they are canceled due to weather, they will be presented on Fridays. Click here for more information.

Merrimack has a public-private collaboration between the town and other organizations for July 4. A holiday concert will be held on at 6:30 p.m. July 3, in Abbie Park. A road race will be held at 8 a.m. on July 4, a pancake breakfast, family fun day events, and then, a parade at 1 p.m. on Daniel Webster Highway. Fireworks will be held at 9 p.m. behind Merrimack High School. More details can be found here.
Milford also has a full day of events in Keyes Memorial Park that are sponsored by the Milford Recreation Commission including a 1K at 9 a.m. for kids under 12 and then, a 5K for adults at 9:30 a.m. A parade will be held at noon. Music will be held at 8 p.m. and fireworks begin at dusk. A rain date will be held on July 5.
The city of Nashua has also scheduled an entire day of events at Holman Stadium on July 4, with a rain date of July 5. At 10 a.m., a children’s field day including games, races, and fun, will be held until 1 p.m. Rock and roll music will be presented at 5:30 p.m. and Symphony NH performs at 7:15 p.m. The city’s Hall of Fame inductions will be held at 8 p.m. with the Spartans performing at 8:30 p.m. and fireworks at dusk. The city of Portsmouth hosts its fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. on July 3, at South Mill Pond across from city hall. The rain date is July 5.
The town of Salem has booked a full day of fun as part of the community’s second annual Light Up the Sky event on July 4. More information will be available later in June. The events will be held at Salem High School and Woodbury Middle School. Fireworks events start at 5 p.m. at SHS with music starting at 8:30 p.m. and the display at 9:30 p.m. The rain date is booked for July 5. Canobie Lake Park is also hosting fireworks through July 4, at 9:30 p.m.
The town of Windham celebrated 275 years as a community this year and held a number of events.
Other events
- Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth hosts its 15th Annual American Celebration on July 3, and July 4, with a number of events scheduled.
- The M/S Mount Washington is offering a special July 4, cruise as Lake Winnipesaukee lights up with fireworks. Find more details here.
