BRENTWOOD, NH — The Rockingham County Superior Court grand jury has indicted a Concord man in connection with sexual assault against a child in Salem. Stephen Bergeron, 50, of Concord, was indicted on three counts of felonious sexual assault with an extended term of imprisonment if he is convicted. The victim was between the ages of 6 and 10 years old, according to the indictments issued this month.

The indictments charge Bergeron with committing three assaults against the same victim between January 2007 and December 2010. Each charge is a Class B felony.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt; rather, it means a grad jury has found sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.
