'Family Fun Day' To Raise Funds For Salem's Field Of Dreams
Field of Dreams in Salem is hosting Family Fun Day to help pay for a new pavilion at the park.

SALEM, NH — The Field of Dreams in Salem is hosting a Family Fun Day on Saturday, to help raise money for a new pavilion at the park. The third annual event will feature face painting, vendors, a bounce house, an inflatable obstacle course, mascots, a petting farm, a scavenger hunt and more. It's taking place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the park located at 48 Geremonty Dr.
According to the Field of Dreams website, about $152,000 has been raised so far for the new pavilion, which is about 50 percent of the fundraising goal. The pavilion will be a place for concert series, performances and other events.
The current stage at the Field of Dreams, which hosts the weekly summer concert series, lacks overhead roofing and is not handicap-accessible. The new pavilion would prevent concerts being cancelled in cases of rain or having performers' equipment being put at risk due to inclement weather.
