Get Ready for Night of Lights

Salem's tree lighting event will be held on Dec. 1. Expect some road closures. Here are the details.

SALEM, NH — The Night Of Lights tree lighting will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at the Field of Dreams on Geremonty Drive. The Salem Police Community Service Unit will be serving hot chocolate (donated by Heavenly Donuts) and hosting a 50/50 raffle with donations going towards next year's tree lighting, according to a post on Facebook.

The department will also be giving away bike helmets, police hats, coloring books, junior police badges, gun locks and more.

Note: Geremonty Drive will be closed to traffic from Veteran's Parkway to Salem High School from 5 to 7 p.m. Only outgoing traffic will be allowed through, according to police.
