SALEM, NH — The retail store Homesense, the newest store from the HomeGoods family, is planned for opening in Salem's Tuscan Village next month. It will offer an expansive collection of merchandise at great prices, from furniture to decorative accessories, according to company officials. It is planned for opening 56 South Broadway St. on Thursday, Aug. 8.

The Salem location will be Homesense's sixth location in the greater Boston area. The store will offer a variety of large-scale furniture, a rug emporium, a large lighting department with hanging chandeliers and a general store with everything from hardware to storage needs. There will also be seasonal items, including must-haves for entertainment, holiday décor, unique artwork, gift-wrapping essentials and more.

"The sensory experience at Homesense can't be replicated online or in any other store — you can touch, feel and sit on the wide variety of merchandise before taking it home, from rows of leather couches to color-coded walls of throw pillows," company officials said in a statement. "Plus, you can rest assured that you're getting an always fresh selection of quality merchandise for an amazing price. Shoppers will be inspired by bold, statement-making pieces for their homes that they can take with them on the spot."
