Human Remains Found In Methuen By FBI Evidence Response Team

The FBI, which has been working in Massachusetts for 3 days, has located human remains of a missing New Hampshire man.

METHUEN, MA - The FBI Evidence Response team using excavating equipment has been search an area of Milk Street for human remains for three days. Sources have confirmed to Patch that human remains were found at the site Thursday afternoon.

Multiple sources have confirmed the remains they were looking for are that of a man from Manchester.

The man, in his 50s, has been missing since March and is a resident of an upscale neighborhood on the West Side of Manchester.

Lawrence police located the work vehicle belonging to the man recently. Evidence found in the vehicle confirmed that there was substantial evidence which indicated the missing man was deceased. That evidence, combined with other investigations, led authorities to the area behind Milk Street businesses in Methuen.

The area being searched is very close to the Loop Mall. It is also adjacent to a Methuen park which has walking trails and ballfields in the area.

Sources have indicated that the investigation that involves the FBI is spanning across state lines, and also may have international connections.

Several people in the neighborhood where the man lived were very vocal Thursday speaking openly, hoping the man's body was located. Several people indicated law enforcement had visited the area searching for surveillance footage for certain time periods. The request for surveillance footage also coincides with the time frame of the disappearance.

Several people who are friends with the man who was missing spoke highly about him and how nice of a man he was. Also several customers of his also shared positive stories about the man who worked for a Massachusetts company.

In Methuen, MA at the site where the search has been very active, two vehicles from The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner left the scene at 8:00 pm
