"Irish" Micky Ward Tribute and Live Championship Boxing

Micky Ward, the former WBU light welterweight champion, will be feted on his 50th birthday during a night of live pro boxing matches.

The main event of the intensely-competitive eight fight card at Rockingham Park is for the vacant New England Heavyweight Championship and showcases rising star Alexis Santos (14-1, 13 KOs) from nearby Lawrence, MA. The under card spotlights some of the top professional boxers from New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Ward, whose inspirational story was immortalized in the 2010 Academy Award-winning film “The Fighter”, will be celebrated on his 50th birthday. Ticket prices are $75 for ringside seating, $45 and $35 and may be purchased at the racetrack. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the first fight taps off at 7:
