SALEM, NH — For more than four decades, the Klemm family has been running convenience stores and gas stations in Windham and Salem and now, they have opened the company's fifth location Friday.
The new Klemm's Family Store is located at 4 Mall Road next door to Klemm's Express Carwash. The family, town and state officials, including Gov. Chris Sununu, and others celebrated the opening with a ribbon cutting and a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salem.
"We are pleased to be able to continue expanding our family of stores, which we have designed as classic New England country stores," Arthur Klemm said. "When we opened our first store in Windham, there was just one traffic light in town and we would provide 300 to 400 cups of coffee every day to commuters.
